Siro Morangueiro

SIRO® MORANGUEIRO is a special substrate for strawberry production - in a semi-hydroponic system. Its medium - fine texture, which is perfectly adapted to the root system of this type of plant, combined with its high cation exchange capacity, provides adequate nutrition, increases production and enhances the flavour and aroma of the strawberry. This substrate is enriched with a slow controlled releasing fertilizer up to 9 months, specific for strawberries, allowing for two productions without the use of additional fertilization. The cultivation bag is adapted for localized irrigation which permits a homogeneous retention of irrigation water and reduces the propagation of diseases. It is designed with 10 holes on the surface allowing for direct plantation and small opening on the bottom for perfect drainage. The black colour of the bag contributes towards the heating of the substrate, promoting an early and increased rate in the development of the strawberries.
